Can this be used without the stand
Absolutely. I usually place it on a camping table.
Stupid question but if you add 20 pounds of pressure and then add the weight of the trailer. I notice my gauge jumps up to forty sixty pounds. Is that fine cause then? It seems like it's adding more weight into the bags by the pressure of the trailer. Hope makes sense
My air bags auto adjust to whatever PSI I set them at... so perhaps yes. I don't set my PSI until I have already hooked up the truck and trailer. They will auto adjust as I drive by adding psi and letting air out based on weight and suspension adjustments.
I went from a Ram 1500 too a Chevy 2500 when I bought a larger camper. I went from 4600 to 6240 lbs. I also went from one battery and one propane to two batteries and two propanes. The 2500 seems to bonce more and while sag is less, I think it could be less.
The best!
Is there a reason that you can’t lift the trailer up further so that you don’t have to use to tool to pop the sway bar on? Thanks! Bought my rv used and it didn’t come with the tool
I do not like to stretch the airbags too much on the truck as this can lead to tears or cracks. The tool can be purchased separately on sites like Fastway search for e2 Snap-up Lever or Equalizer Hitch site for Snap-up Lever Replacement.
@@DinkGear Thanks for getting back me!
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Soft Rear Window for your RZR Pro XP ( if your car year is 2020-2024
this is one of the best overviews of weight distribution period. Follow your instructions and you are towing great..safe travels.
Wouldn't using the airbags assist with the wdh (weight distrobution hitch) by not having to make so much adjustmet to the wdh to bring the front down? Trailer tongues are failing because people are over adjusting the wdh to compensate for the squat.
There’s absolutely no way you’re gonna see that 3 miles away
Your trailer frame and hitch point is crazy high that's wild you got it filped with a f250 truck. Great job showing how to get it done.
Thanks. Yes, Outdoors RV's have a very high hitch height.
Why do you need the sway bars if you have air ride?
They are two completely different systems. Airbags are to reduce squat on the rear of the truck from the weight of the trailer hitch. And to make a more comfortable ride. It at no time increases payload. When you tow a trailer using a standard rear-mounted hitch, the trailer’s tongue weight is transferred to the rear axle of your tow vehicle. This can cause the rear end of your vehicle to sag, lifting the front end. It affects steering, traction, and braking. Insufficient tongue weight can lead to trailer sway, making it difficult to control. Weight distribution systems use spring bars to address these issues. The spring bars apply leverage to both sides of your setup, distributing the load across all axles (both on the tow vehicle and the trailer). This even distribution of weight results in a smooth, level ride and allows you to tow at the maximum capacity of your hitch. It also improves steering, braking, and overall stability. By distributing weight off the rear axle of the tow vehicle and onto the front axle, weight distribution hitches enhance driving performance. When combined with sway control, these hitches correct trailer sway, ensuring a safer towing experience.
@@DinkGear Thank you so much. Best video I have seen. Is there a reason to let the air out before locking in the bars? Seems like you could just lift the trailer jack?
If anyone can explain how the ball adjustments work?

Damn, went to use the promo, says it's expired.
Bummer. I will look at what's going on this evening. Sorry
@@DinkGear No worries!
I contacted them and should receive an answer from them by tomorrow. Sorry for the delay
@@DinkGear Awesome, I'll have to check back, thanks alot!
@@daneg3450 They notified that it has been updated. Thanks for letting me know.
I agree with you. Just bought a new camper. The dealer had no idea what to do with the airbag & WDH !!! I’ll have to take camper to nearest parking lot and have to start from scratch.
Around 12:30 you mention to release pressure in bags to use the rv jack to raise the hitch to connect bars. Why couldn’t you raise pressure in bags high enough to do same and then lower pressure back to your desired height?
It is more difficult to affix the weight distribution bars with air in the bags.. The same goes for trying to remove the weight distribution bars. You need to release the pressure in the bags.
@@DinkGear, I appreciate your time and knowledge. Not arguing with you whatsoever. Am just learning. The coil springs in my ram won’t hold 7-800lbs. That is why I am asking. The bags require a minimum pressure of 5psi. That only gives me 50psi of support. What if I had enough to cover the 800lbs with 17psi (ish).. can’t I still use the jack to lift the tongue to install the bars?
Of course. It's just harder to get the bars off and on with the bags filled. Mine also is 5psi minimum, I run them now days at 25psi when towing.
how you know is new version or the old version?
By the button configurations. The new micro has more buttons.
They shouldnt have stopped making them
Pretty similar setup if you look at Scarab boats... I believe they even have the Seadoo engines as well.
Scarab bought the Seadoo boat line and rebranded them after 2013
I have an elite as well and it as way better in my opinion, but these micros are no joke either.
Just got mine and the thing is not a joke...lol I thought it would be bigger. The videos I have seen make it seem like the micro isn't much smaller than the elite.
I have the elite an like that one better myself
Thanks for making this video, I have the old micro and have been wanting to see if the new one is better
so do I raise or lower the air bags to get the hitch level with the trailer, or unbolt the thing and adjust it that way?
You’re shaking like a dog shitting razor blades
Thank you for sharing info !
Just bought a yellow light micro version a few week ago. Very impressed with the quality and functions of the device. Useful for night work, camping, hunting, riding and more. Very practical. Just like you did, I got the jaw clip as well, also to attach it to a plate carrier or clothing.
Yes, it is a very nice and functional product. I plan to get another one.
Where is this
Lake Cushman, Wa
Eh
Ha! ...Your neighbors gotta love ya...! 😅
LOL... right 😂
Thanks for the great information. I’m looking at these to put on my bike.
the power parts lower seat is only 15mm shorter and its definetly flatter and almost not as soft so it makes almost no difference at all I just bought the "shorter" power parts seat for my 2024 husky TE300 pro and it didn't hep at all but I think im gonna shave it a little and make it more round and then at least I have the stock seat I can outback on if I sell it
This process is done with a loaded trailer, correct? Full of water, toys inside if it's a toy hauler, full fuel tank, etc?
How many lumens is the light?
According to the specs: RIGHTNESS: Features 1000 lumen LED light and a 5mW peak, 620-670nm, Class 3R visible green laser that is in conformance with and complies with 21 CFR 1040.10 with a max power output of 5mW for a Class 3R Green Laser - brightest beam allowed by law
Great video has and will continue to be a big help for us. Did you eventually try removing the teflon washer?
Thank you... I left both of the teflon butter shift washers installed in the secondary. This makes it easier to shift as well as adds more pressure to the secondary on the belt. The clutch settled after driving and I had to add some spacer washers back in.
Looking into adding lighting to my pro xp and only want to spend the money once and I saw your prizm video and wanted to ask if there still holding up well and if the $1400 should just leave my bank account lol
I have not gotten the chance for trail riding yet... our areas are mainly all snow currently with what little riding I have done around my home, No issues yet. Next video shortly should be Dunes and trails so it will be a great "Test use case" video. I did add a layer of XPEL to 90% of the lenses on the PRIZM lights, this should help amazingly keeping them looking brand new with no scratches from branches.
Sounds good in your video they looked pretty serious was impressed how much they drowned out the rigid pods also
I’m curious if this procedure is the same for trucks factory equipped with air bags such as my Ram 3500 Dually? It has a trailer leveling system where all I have to do is hit a button and the rear of the truck self levels but I believe that’s about it. Thanks
Would you recommend buying a used ks9000 for $300 (assuming that its in working order)? Thanks
I definitely might if it was in working order
Some companies will sell you the wrong belt if the number on the belt says 186 it is not the proper belt, they work but they're not as good as a 202 belt on pro XP cars me and my buddy found that out last summer we were blowing belts twice as much as we do now
Hey bud, your spacer goes between the billet and the bracket. Its not used as a washer.
I agree, I used it as a spacer also. Would be nice if directions were more clear. Thank you for the video, I was curious about the weight difference also. I installed in a slightly different order, long pipe last, leaving exhaust loose to manipulate it together, but nice to know it will work either way.
Nice! Just picked up a set for my Pro R. I’m excited to make my own review video
Well done video. I have a 24RKS with a similar configuration. What are your thoughts on the batteries? Do you leave them connected on the trailer or store elsewhere..
Thank you. I leave the batteries connected year round. I leave them on the solar tender that the trailer came with. Batteries are group 27 batteries from Costco. Never had any issues at all.
can yor back into spot with the levers attached? how do you set up the sway bar?
Yes, absolutely you can back into your spot with the bars attached. You can see how the bars go on at about the 11 min mark
I'd have returned that thing. I was thinking about buying one. Maybe not now. That lid would drive me crazy.
Thanks (again)... used your video to shut her down last year, knew just where to go to make sure I didn't miss anything this year!
Awesome... glad to hear 👍I will have a How to de-winterize soon as well.
Why not add air to the truck bags to get the truck higher instead of lifting the truck with the trailer?
Lifting with the trailer allows the head shank to raise the tension bars for installation on the L brackets.
Thanks for the taking the time to explain how to properly do a set up / connection to a WDH including having a truck with airbags on it. We just got ourselves a 24’ trailer and I’m also facing that exact situation, so thanks for breaking it down and showing some good pointers to the step by step process. I’ll have to try it out soon just to get a feel for the exact PSI needed in my bags for future road trips. Much appreciate Sir!
I thought you weren’t supposed to add air after you installed the WD bars and had the truck sitting on them. Wouldn’t that take pressure off the WDH and not make it as effective? Why didn’t you just leave the 27lbs in the bags, raise the truck with the jack and then install the bars. Then lower the truck back down on the bars.
Thank You , this is a good refresher .
Removed all my shins. Added both butter washer. First start up no spinning from secondary rode it put back in park. Secondary is spinning again
What do I need to do
Normal... it gets settled. Look at alignment, add washers to accomodate. My guess is you will be back at # of washers you were before
So it uses the same number of washer for secondary also did you remove both butter washer or still same 2 on there
Anyone gonna notice how strong that plastic bucket is?? Lol
It's an Anderson hitch block. Link is in the description.
Would this work with a shotgun????
I don't see why not... As long as there's a rail to attach to it.
Beautiful; great job
